Big squelchy pad chords on Janeret’s “Journey” enter around 2:00 as stacked, heavily unisoned sawtooth layers. The sound is run through a very resonant high-pass filter with a pronounced filter-envelope decay that produces the “eeeoowww” sweeping vowel shape. The timbre is thick and wide across the stereo field.
