Remaking the lofi synth from the 2009 song "Riverside" by Sidney Samson can be an exciting challenge for any synthesizer enthusiast. Sidney Samson’s 2009 Dutch house anthem “Riverside” features a distinctive LoFi lead synthesizer that emerges at 0:43, characterized by its raw, intentionally out-of-tune timbre. The sound is constructed using two medium pulse waves tuned approximately 60 cents apart, creating a dissonant vibrating effect. This detuned dual-oscillator approach, combined with minimal processing, gives the lead its gritty, analog-inspired edge that cuts through the track’s driving bassline.

Getting Started

• Start by initializing your synthesizer to a plain saw with no filter, modulation or effects. For soft synths use the "init"/"default" preset or the the button to reset all parameters to their default factory values.
