Looking for info on how he might have created the synth pattern following the beat.

I originally though they were synth drums but I’ve never been able to get quite the same vibe (at all really) synthesizing my own drums, which comes out sounding closer to a Kraftwerk/Numbers drums.

I also played around with Ableton and TAL’s vocoders thinking that its a synth sound being modulated by the actual drum beat but again, i’m coming up short.

Perhaps its modulation? I hear the same kind of (or similar) effect on many Electro tracks so I feel like I’m might be missing something obvious. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

Sorry for the late reply. Are you referring to the scattered glitchy static-ish frenetic sounds playing on top of the drums starting at 0:14?
