      Hello! I’m trying to figure out the bass sound starting at 0:32. I’m not sure id it’s one or two synths.

        I think this is a classic FM 80s synth, and it’s one of those patches that’s hard to replicate in a subtractive scenario. So let’s do some FM!

        First, check out our video on FM Bass, to get the basics on how FM synthesis works:

        Then, do the following to create a sound that’s closer to your patch:

        Routing: 3->2->1.

        All Operators: Sine waves.

        Operator 1: 0 Attack, max Sustain, 0 Release.

        Operator 2: Same as Operator 1, but with a pitch ratio of 2:1. This creates the round bass tone at the end of the attack transient.

        Operator 3: Pitch ratio of 9:1. And set the envelope to 0 Sustain and quick Decay. This will create the metallic attack transient.
