And, with those filter effects you can choose from up to 24 different filter shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThere are a lot of cool options to choose from, including some amazing sounding vintage filters, acid filters, formant filters and your classic low-pass, band-pass, & hi-pass filters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were a couple I found particularly useful\/inspiring when using Rapid, and those were the Trance Gate, Vintagizer, Chamer and Send effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u30bb\u30f3\u30c9\u30a8\u30d5\u30a7\u30af\u30c8 <\/strong>is just plain useful because you can send all the information from one of the layers to another layer inside Rapid.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThat means if you have a nice FX chain on one of the layers, you can send your channels through it too!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n\u30c8\u30e9\u30f3\u30b9\u30b2\u30fc\u30c8 <\/strong>\u306f\u3001\u597d\u304d\u306a\u3060\u3051\u30b9\u30e0\u30fc\u30ba\u307e\u305f\u306f\u9014\u5207\u308c\u305f\u30b5\u30a6\u30f3\u30c9\u306b\u3067\u304d\u308b\u30b2\u30fc\u30c6\u30a3\u30f3\u30b0\u30a8\u30d5\u30a7\u30af\u30c8\u3067\u3059\u3002\u79c1\u306f\u30dc\u30fc\u30ab\u30eb\u30b5\u30f3\u30d7\u30eb\u3067\u3053\u308c\u3092\u4f7f\u7528\u3059\u308b\u306e\u304c\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u597d\u304d\u3067\u3001\u30d7\u30ed\u30c7\u30e5\u30fc\u30b5\u30fc\u304c\u305d\u306e\u9014\u5207\u308c\u305f\u30a8\u30d5\u30a7\u30af\u30c8\u3092\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u5f97\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u304b\u3044\u3064\u3082\u7591\u554f\u306b\u601d\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\nIt’s really useful to have this in Rapid because it can add a lot of rhythm to your sounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The synth is versatile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It can be used to create growling wubs, warm, vintage chords, huge ethereal pads, realistic sounding guitar, piano, and so much more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rapid is extremely easy to get to grips with, but can be a bit overwhelming to start with due to the vast nature of the synth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For instance, there’s no undo button (I actually pressed the panic button when I changed my synth in the hope it would undo my changes lol).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also the step sequencer, even though it’s amazing, is pretty fiddly to draw shapes with, and seems like it could have a simpler, click draw approach, or you could use your mouse to draw shapes.<\/p>\n\n\n

Compared to other synths on the market, Rapid’s value for money is exceptional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This was working perfectly with my M1 Mac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rapid is optimised to run quickly, and not be a tax on your CPU. Unlike other power synths, Rapid does this pretty well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\nHaving used both Omnisphere and UVI Falcon, Rapid’s performance for the same amount of layers and effects seems to be lightyears ahead of what I found when testing other popular power synths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It even outperforms Serum in this category with it’s measly 2 oscillators (that you can actually do a lot with). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although, when you do start to increase the oscillator amount, you will definitely start to see the CPU be bogged down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
