The sound is built from a simple sawtooth waveform heavily rounded by a low-pass filter with a very quick and subtle pluck from the filter envelope decay, while subtle distortion adds saturation and bite. This deceptively simple yet deeply funky bass patch provides the track’s foundational groove with its impeccable musical phrasing. You can hear the bassline enter prominently at 0:52 in the song.
