Syntorial-To-Synth Parameter Mapping

Apply what you learn in Syntorial to the synths you actually use.

This living, crowdsourced map connects Syntorial’s parameters to their equivalents in popular hardware and software synthesizers. So you know exactly where to find and use the same concepts outside of Syntorial, especially when working through Syntorial’s Own Your Own sections.

🧠 Built by the Community

This mapping is crowdsourced.

You can actively contribute:

  • New synth mappings
  • Missing parameters
  • Corrections and clarifications
  • UI screenshots and layout hints

The more people contribute, the better it gets.

Currently mapped synths (and growing):

  • Vtial
  • Pigments
  • Phaseplant
  • Diva
  • Omnisphere
  • UVI Falcon 2
  • GMS
  • Korg Minilogue

New synths and refinements are added continuously.

How this Syntorial Synth Mapping differs from Lesson Packs

Lesson Packs provide deep, guided training for specific synths. The Synth Parameter Mapping is a crowdsourced reference designed to cover synths that don’t (yet) have an official Lesson Pack. And to help you translate Syntorial concepts quickly across many instruments.

For deeper, synth-specific instruction via video series integrated directly in Syntorial, see our officially supported Lesson Packs list.

Missing your synth? Want to contribute?

Want to add more synths or expand the existing mappings? You don’t need to be an expert or finish a full synth mapping.

You can:

  • Suggest a new synth
  • Fill in a missing parameter
  • Leave notes about differences or quirks
  • Flag unclear mappings

How it works:

  1. Open the mapping
  2. Log into your google account
  3. Request editing rights by clicking “Comment only” at the top. In the message box tell us what synth you want to add or edit.
