In reply to: Help With Later Stages Of Syntorial
October 18, 2021 at 9:10 am #45041I don’t disagree that it’s overall a good message and I certainly agree with the intended sentiment. It’s just that literally replacing a single word and removing one additional letter would make it inclusive of everyone. It’s just frustrating as you see it everywhere.
“I wish us, and everyone who will study here to succeed in doing what they dream of.”

Because obviously women aren’t here either. I love it when men use exclusive language and then wonder why women are put off from participating. It’s a shame Joe didn’t notice and call it out himself. Hopefully you’ll think more carefully about your wording in the future and not dismiss this concern out of hand. It bothers more of us than you think but society tells us to sit down and shut up about it.

April 8, 2021 at 4:45 am #41849Okay, recalibrating it seems to have helped. The Prophet REV2’s oscillators still seem to be a bit more buzzy than the ones in Primer, so I had to use a smidge of the filter. These are the settings I found that are the closest approximation I could achieve. Keep in mind I’m just a beginner myself so use your own ear. I just hope this helps speed up the process for someone else in the future.

April 8, 2021 at 3:44 am #41847I have a Prophet REV2 and the biggest issue for me is that the pulse/square wave works a bit differently than in Syntorial. The manual says if you want a plain square wave you need select pulse and then set the shape mod to 50%. Even then it doesn’t sound exactly right, there’s still a fair amount of buzziness. I’m actually in the middle of recalibrating the oscillators right this moment which is taking forever. In any case, I haven’t been able to get that big fat full sound with it the way it is now.
