April 19, 2020 at 9:40 am #34489Hei! This is how far i got with this bass. It seems to be an Fm bass. I used SERUM to recreate it.
Everything seems to be a sine wave
Sub osc is on 0
Osc 1 is +1 Oct and level 0
Osc2 lvl is at about 50% and Fm from Osc A is at about 50%
Amp envelope Attack about 30. decey about 980, Sustain -16db and release about 290
Also cutoff filter with 12 db i think is ok. On the FX i put Hyper Dimension on with 0 detune and 0 size and about 50% mix
Tube distortion 60% Drive and 70% mix
And filter MGlow6 with cut on 400hzIt’s not the perfect recreation, but it’s very close and the method is the same i think. You can fiddle with parameters to get it more like it is in the song.
I added a pictures of SERUM and sound file u can see

April 12, 2020 at 3:17 pm #34288Hi! I am trying to recreate tis sound that starts at 1:30. It’s made of several layers, some of those are supersaw, whitenoise, i think there are two bass layers and a sine+square patch with FM to sine and square 1 octave up or something like this. I posted a file that shows how far i am in the process, I can’t get anywhere close to original sound. Would you pleas tell me how should i approach this, is there some essential post processing with filters, distortion and stuff? Pleas refer to Serum if possible. Thanks in advance

In reply to: Can we sort this forum by synth? I don’t own Serum.
March 18, 2020 at 3:32 pm #33417SERUM is a nice synth to invest in. You can actually buy it on Splice Rent to own, you only pay some 10$ a month.

March 18, 2020 at 1:44 pm #33413I only didn’t understand the part about 100 width, since in SERUM the width of voices is the knob called ”Detune” so i left it on 0, it works so far.

March 17, 2020 at 3:06 pm #33361It’s very low, even and perfectly audible even on cheap cellphone earplugs. I tried to make it in different ways using different waveforms, combined saw with sine, and squere with sine, used low pass filter, drive. I get some nice sub sound, but can’t get it so big, wide and even. No compresion or limiting makes it so good as it is in this song, i have even bassrider from waves, and even then it’s not that even in volume of higher and lower pitch notes.
The question is: how to make it so wide and even without givimg it any movement?I use mostly SERUM, so if it’s possible please refer to SERUM
Thanks in advance
