https://youtu.be/EQgezs5Bcp8: check out :58 of this song. in a couple seconds, you should hear what i’m pretty sure is a bass clarinet.

any idea how to program this and actually get close? i usually like to provide a sample patch to show i’m not being lazy but i’m really stumped on this one after hours of trying.

any tips on how to program this? i get a really synthetic (i.e., corny) sound without the breath and richness/depth of the bass clarinet. the noise oscillator for the breath sounds like crumpled paper haha.

any help would be appreciated. i have serum, massive, and sylenth1.

Attached above is my latest attempt at a patch on Serum. I don’t think it sounds terrible in the lower registers (though it could be improved) but it’s def more cheesy in the higher registers.

Also, when you compare to a real bass clarinet, I feel defeated haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pAdLMSGpbY&ab_channel=MarceloMaldonado

Sounds difficult. At work on the https://soirishcasino.com project, everything is much simpler. But of course, the result is in another area.
