I am looking to recreate the stringy sound / lead sound that starts at 1:04 of Inner City’s classic song Good Life: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJxJxr9RlKM

It sounds to me like a combo of pulse and saw with some flanger / phaser effect on it, but I can’t get it to sound right. Help me Joe 😃 (or others)

Hmmm, maybe this one works, still at 1:04:

Any thoughts Joe? Or another synth guru?

              Try this:

              Oscillator 1: Saw

Oscillator 2: Triangle, pitched up 1 octave

Oscillator Volumes: The Triangle is naturally quieter than the Saw so you’ll want to turn up Osc 2 louder than Saw to get the proper balance of the bright saw body, and the upper round triangle tone

Unisons: 4-voice unison, with enough Detune to smear it, but not make the pulsations too intense

Filter: Lowpass, 24 dB, bring down the Cutoff a bit

Delay: Pretty wet, fairly fast time
