      Hi,

      I’m trying to replicate this deep house bass on the track below

      Bassline can be heard from 0:55, it sounds to me like a mix of saw/square with low pass filter turned way down with key tracking. Some pitch enevelope on it too,

      but i just cannot get that smooth growl on it like the track, Am I missing something?

        “Smooth growl” is exactly right. I think it’s simply:

        Oscillator: saw

        Filter: 24 dB low pass, with the cutoff turned way down, and a decent amount of res to make the upper notes stick out a bit.

        Portamento: quick.

        The growl comes from playing a really low note. I get a nice smooth growl when playing a C#0.
