Great video Joe, I’m very amateur at sound design and the filter contour tip really livens things up. Am I right in thinking this is kind of a mix knob for the filter EG?
Kind of. It’s the Filter Envelope Amount knob. So the envelope starts at the Cutoff value, and during the Attack Stage raises the cutoff by the amount set by the Contour knob, before moving onto the Decay stage. In this patch’s case, the Attack is pretty much 0, so it’s immediately jumping up to the Contour value. So the higher the Contour, the brighter the beginning of this patch will be.
